Home buyer concession Scheme
The (HBCS) is an ACT Government initiative to assist persons in purchasing a new residential home or residential vacant land by charging duty at a concessional rate.
The scheme is changed on 1 July 2019, to help more people buy the home that's right for them by removing duty on any property they want to buy.

First Home Buyers Assistance scheme.First home buyers will not have to pay duty for both new and existing homes for properties up to $650,000. The duty will be reduced for amounts between $650,000 and $800,000. There is no change to the cap for vacant land.

The Queensland First Home Owners' Grant is a state government initiative to help first home owners to get their new first home sooner.
Depending on the date of your contract, you'll get $15,000 or $20,000 towards buying or building your new house, unit or townhouse (valued at less than $750,000).
The grant is paid per new home and not to each of the applicants for the same home.

The First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) applies to the purchase or construction of a new residential property, including a house, flat, unit, townhouse or apartment that meets local planning standards anywhere in South Australia. FHOG ceased for established homes from 1 July 2014.
The residential property must be occupied as each applicants' principal place of residence for a continuous period of at least six months commencing within 12 months of date of settlement for contracts to purchase, or the date construction is completed for owner builders or contracts to build.

The Tasmanian Government has extended the $20 000 First Home Owner Grant for one additional year, from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020.
The First Home Owner Grant is a one-off payment for eligible applicants who buy or build a new home, where the transaction meets certain eligibility criteria.
The extension will mean that the increased $20 000 payment will be available for eligible transactions entered in to up until and including 30 June 2020.
Duty concession for first home buyers of established homes factsheet
Provides a 50 per cent concession on property transfer duty for first home buyers of established homes with a property value of $400 000 or lower. The concession has been extended until 30 June 2020.

Introduces a Foreign Investor Duty Surcharge from 1 July 2018 of an additional 3 per cent on the dutiable value for all transactions of residential property by foreign persons. An additional 1.5 per cent also applies on the dutiable value of a property for all transactions of primary production property by foreign persons.
